Bigg Boss Kannada Star Divya Suresh Opens Up About Traumatic Street Harassment in Bengaluru

Safety in Bengaluru has become a major talking point once again after Bigg Boss Kannada star Divya Suresh shared a terrifying experience she faced on the city's streets late Sunday night.

What Happened That Night?

Divya took to social media to recount the chilling incident. She and her cousin were walking toward their car around 11:30 p.m. when they realized a stranger had begun following them. According to Divya, the man’s behavior was deeply disturbing; he was making obscene gestures while stalking them.

"We noticed it immediately and called him out, but he still didn't stop," Divya wrote in a heartfelt Instagram story. "He continued to follow us right until we got into our car."

"Where is the safety we were promised?" Understandably shaken, the actor tagged the Bengaluru Police in her post, demanding accountability. She expressed her frustration, noting that no woman should feel unsafe simply because she is out at night. Divya even managed to capture the ordeal on video, which showed her cousin pointing out the man’s behavior in real-time.

A Familiar Face on Screen

Divya Suresh became a household name after her stint on Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8. Beyond the reality show, she has had a solid career in the industry, starring in serials like Nanna Hendthi MBBS and Jodi Hakki. A former model who won the Miss India South title in 2017, she has also appeared in several films, including Rowdy Baby and Hiranya.

This isn't the first time Divya has been in the news. Last October, she made headlines following a hit-and-run incident in Byatarayanapura that left three people injured. At the time, Bengaluru Traffic Police used CCTV footage to identify the car involved in the accident, which led to a significant investigation.
